Just before winter break, 5th graders researched specific landforms and then recreated the landform using salt dough and edibles. After three bags of flour, 6 containers of salt, numerous graham crackers, marshmallows, dyed frosting, paint mixing, messy desks, messy floors, and messy hands, the classroom was filled with a number of beautiful landforms. Each class presented their landforms in a gallery walk style format allowing each student to practice talking about their landforms with anyone that stopped by their display. These students did a fabulous job!
