Today we needed to do some editing. Students took a walk in the hallway to edit their own papers and then went back in the classroom to peer edit. While out in the hallway, students walked with their stories reading them out loud to themselves. As they came across items to edit, they stopped, put both feet in one tile square, and made their editing marks then continued on with their walk. Students were engaged and seemed to find more things to edit than they had any other revision time. It was a perfect activity to get out all that energy from the excitement about break!
