Report cards are coming home with students tonight!
Every student has their own folder where I turn back their graded work. If it's been a while since you've seen anything come home for paperwork, you may want to remind your child to take a look in their "mailbox".
Please click on the Homework tab to view Test/Quiz retake policy. Thank you!

Below I have listed the state of the postcard and any other description that might help. If you think someone you know has sent one that your child has not told you they have received, send me an email with the sender's name or fact they may have written on it. If I can verify the information, I will give credit to the class section. Thank you!

Students are getting excited. Mrs. Cote is getting excited...ok I like getting mail too! Something I didn't think of though is that some are being mailed to the school but I have no idea what student they belong to. If you are still asking for postcards, could you please ask that they put the students name on it? This will help greatly when tabulating the scores.
Thank you so much for your support in this activity! Your kids are bringing home this flyer today from Social Studies. The first 5th Grade Social Studies class to get postcards sent in from all 50 States wins! DEADLINE is June 1st! Students have been advised that they should not give out their addresses to strangers and should use the school address instead (in the cases of requesting postcards from colleges, businesses, sports teams, etc.).
There is a map making contest open to all Maine 5th grade students. The grand prize is $500 for the student and $500 for the student's class. I have let all of my 5th grade students know about the contest and can help them mail their submissions with registration when the time comes. All work has to be done by the student only and can be done by hand or with computer.
For a complete list of directions, FAQs, and other information please click the button below. Thank you! Today your child is bringing home a letter introducing you to Genius Hour. We're very excited to start this project and have had 2 brainstorming sessions to begin. Please check out the new Genius Hour tab on this website to keep up-to-date on our projects and view videos and websites that explain more about the Genius Hour project in general. Genius Hour for 5th grade is every Thursday during Social Studies. A due date will be announced once I have approved all project proposals.
Thank you in advance for supporting the students and I on this academic adventure! |
