Dear 5th Grade Families,
If you haven’t heard already, 5th graders are doing a small landforms project. We’re excited to do some work with our hands and get a little messy! Along with the creation of a landform, the students will each have a write-up about the landform they are researching and creating.
The students are excited and probably have mentioned making landforms from edible items and wanting to bake cakes, brownies, etc. This is fine with me ONLY if it is fine with you! I will be bringing in quite a few materials on Monday that they can use. In no way should this be a financial burden on you.
If your child is planning on making their landform with a baked good and they have your approval, please be sure they bring it in on Monday December 18th. I have mentioned that we are not sharing and eating the landforms, they are for display only.
All work will be done in class. Students should not be creating their landforms at home (just baking if they need it).
I’m excited to see what they come up with! Have a wonderful weekend!
~Mrs. Cote
