Just a reminder to Pod 1 7th Graders, we are back in school Monday, February 1st!
Hello 7th Grade Families,
We are once again in a week of remote learning. Your child should be logging in to their online classes every day at the same time and in the same way as they do when they are on remote days. Students who do not show up for their online classes are marked absent. Should either myself or Mrs. Freeman be absent, students still need to log in to their Google Classroom and answer the attendance question and follow directions for work scheduled that day. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!! ~Mrs. Cote Just a reminder that POD 2 seventh graders are back today!! POD 1 needs to sign on to their online classes as normal and you'll be back in the school on Thursday!!
Hello 7th Grade Family, This week grade 7 will be remote learning from home. Students are still required to join classes and complete the assigned work. Students should complete their science assignments during their science class time and students need to sign in for math class. It is important for your student to have a schedule to follow. Research has shown that students need structure and routines to help be successful. Due to their age, they will probably need help with this because their brains are not developed enough to have the executive functioning skills needed to learn from home. Many of them have expressed how hard it is to do school from home due to distractions and not knowing what assignment to do when. Please help them with the following if needed: *Waking up at/around the same time daily (like they would if they had to go into school) *Having a quiet workspace w/no distractions (video games and cell phones) *Completing their work during class time (science work is done during their science class) *Submitting work on time *Eating a healthy diet *Limiting extra screen time *Getting plenty of rest (going to bed at a decent hour) Trust is important, but your student is incredibly intelligent and might know how to pull a fast one over you by saying they completed their assignment when they actually didn't do it at all. I know you have a lot going on in your life, but help your student learn responsibility by having them show you their completed work. This shows your student that you care and are interested that they do well in school and turn their assignments in on time. I appreciate all that you do at home to help your student be successful. Thank you for all your hard work! ~Mrs. Cote Please don't hesitate to contact me with any question you have. email: [email protected] Good evening,
Tomorrow, Friday, is an unexpected remote learning day. I would like you all to join your ELA class at the regular times online. We will discuss what we're going to do in place of what we were going to do in class. Please email me if you are unable to attend class. Thank you and have a good night, Mrs. Cote |
